I am a mother

I am a mother to Kaitlyn, Kyle and Jack. And while Mother's Day is a nice day to honor mothers, the day tends to remind me less of myself and more of my children. Not only am I incredibly blessed to be a mother, I am incredibly blessed to be the mother of these three children. I absolutely adore them.

I love Kaitlyn for her happy-go-lucky spirit, there's not much that gets that girl down. She believes that she can do just about anything. She's loving, caring and has a huge servant's heart. She is a ballerina in crisp, clean tights twirling across the stage and also a tomboy in cutoffs, digging in the mud. At almost 8 years old she is my helper, my second pair of hands, my constant reminder that I am training her how to be a godly woman. She is my beautiful first-born, with big brown eyes and freckles on her nose, oh how I love my girl!

I love Kyle for his old-soul, sometimes he has the insight and ability to understand life far beyond his years. He has a gentle spirit and wears his heart on his sleeve. He is cautious and contemplative. He is my thinker and builder. His "creativity" often places him on the border of childishness and disobedience. He is my snuggle bug, with a book and a blanket. He is my first-born son, my little man of the house. He has the brightest blue eyes that touch the deepest parts of my soul, I love my boy! I love Jack for his spark, funk and "I can conquer the world" attitude. He is unbelievably creative and imaginative. He is a dare devil, filled with confidence to the brim. He is precocious and my own little "Eddy Haskell." He is genuinely funny and keeps us entertained. He is my must-have-physical-touch kid, constantly needing to be held, hugged, kissed and loved on. He is my last, my baby. He is my brown eyed boy with one cute dimple. I love this boy!

Thank you God that I am a mother.
